WHERE YOU’LL WORK

Ferndale Confectionery – Mints, gum, jellybeans & pastilles

Home to JILA®, JOLS®, JIBBA® and our sugar-free range, this facility runs multiple high-speed packing lines, each specialising in different products. You’ll move stations every 30 minutes to keep things fresh—some areas are fully automated, while others are more hands-on. Tasks include:

• Monitoring machines, checking supplies and keeping production running smoothly

• Moving stock, bags and materials

• Learning different stations, from filling to sealing and boxing

• Working alongside a supportive team across production, packaging and warehousing

We also run a high-speed pressed mint mill, producing Australian-made mints from start to finish. In addition to our own brands, we manufacture for some of Australia’s most recognised food and snack companies, making this a fast-paced, communal environment that knows how to work hard and have fun.

SoSoft Marshmallow Co. – Australia’s most flexible marshmallow manufacturer

This is where SoSoft marshmallows are made—from classic pink and white to seasonal, limited-edition and custom shapes. We manufacture our own range, including JUMBO, Pink & Whites and Minis, while also producing for a wide range of leading food and snack brands.

Production starts in the “kitchen,” where raw ingredients are cooked under high pressure before being extruded through custom-designed nozzles. From there, they are:

• Cut to size by a high-speed guillotine

• Slowly cooled and set on a staircase of conveyor belts

• Sent to the packing room, where machines bag and seal them for safety, and staff pack the bags into boxes

• Stacked and palletised by automated robots, then transferred to the warehouse

Staff oversee quality checks, stock and supply levels, and general cleaning to keep production smooth and efficient.

Foodline Australia – Snack bars & high-performance production

At Foodline Australia, we manufacture hundreds of thousands of bars a day, both for our own TEAM NUTRITION® range and some of Australia’s biggest snack and bar brands. The facility is brand new, bright and airy, with excellent amenities—and it smells delicious.

The process is mostly automated, but still requires attentive staff to:

• Measure ingredients for mixing

• Monitor syrups, caramels and jams 

• Monitoring slab formation before slicing, coating with chocolate or yoghurt, and adding sprinkles or toppings

• Monitor packing

With a chocolate room, high-speed production lines and a strong focus on quality and efficiency, this site is built for performance at scale.

WHAT TO EXPECT

All sites require a combination of machine operation, quality control and hands-on tasks, including:

• Regular QA checks and visual inspections

• Weighing and packing products

• Stacking pallets and transferring finished goods to the warehouse

• Monitoring production and keeping shift logs up to date

• Reporting and assisting with maintenance issues

• Keeping workstations clean, safe and organised

• Completing machine changeovers and scheduled maintenance

• Manual handling and long periods on your feet

• Overtime when required
